Marisa Berfield’s Journey…

In the words of the fabulous Fresh Prince of Bel-Air:

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air

Except I wasn’t becoming the prince of Bel-Air…. I was dealing with heartbreak, swamped in my career and simply overwhelmed. My way of dealing with stress was to eat cheese dip and drink too much wine… logical.

In order to counter balance my cheese dip and wine I would “workout,” or so I would tell myself. However, my workout habits consisted of going to the gym maybe once a week and only doing cardio. I knew I needed some motivation when it came to working out, and that I couldn’t do it on my own.

When I first started with Alloy, I was still in my bad habits, showing up once a week, and still having my rendezvous with cheese dip and wine. A few months in, I had my second InBody scan and realized I had gained MORE weight. That was my reality check!

I met with the program director and he taught me about proper nutrition, workout plans, setting goals and, most importantly, how to stay motivated. I started working out five days a week, following his nutritional advice and I quickly started to see a change. Not only was I seeing weight loss, but I was getting much stronger. That 50lb bag of dog food was suddenly a lot easier to lift at Costco!

The gym has now become a necessary part of my routine, and I live a much healthier lifestyle. Alloy not only helped me lose weight and reach my goals, but it gave me my happy back!
