Around the time her husband left for the Middle East in mid-January 2004, she & several co-workers began a contest at work. Laurie’s personal goal was to lose 20 lbs. before June 1st. Not only was she successful, but she exceeded her goal and dropped 25 lbs.! She went from a 10/12 to a 6/8 dress size in time to surprise her husband upon his return home on Mother’s Day. Imagine the look on his face when he saw her!

Laurie’s Workout and Nutrition Schedule

• Eating 4 small meals a day that include all food groups
• Walking 3 miles a day
• Working out with weights at home 1 day a week
• Working out at Good Bodies 2 days a week

Laurie’s secret to success

Laurie’s advice to others is to find what works for you—in other words, your personal motivator. Find a routine that gives you energy and the proper nutrition. And most importantly, be flexible…don’t be too hard on yourself if you occasionally miss a day.
