MattReeves 2Matt began working out at NPPT in January, 2010. His wife had attended a workshop at Fleet Feet and won a month of training at NPPT. She was unable to use it, so she gave it to her husband. Matt was thrilled as he was very ready to begin a healthier lifestyle and improve his self-image. His family has a strong history of adult onset Type II Diabetes, and he wanted to do everything in his power to prevent that. Matt has lost 4 inches in his waist and over 25 lbs.

WORKOUT SCHEDULE

• Strength Training at NPPT – 1x week
• Afterburn – 2x week
• Open Gym– 1x week
• Cardio (Running) – 2x week

KEY TO MOTIVATION

Matt’s key to motivation is seeing the results of all his hard work. Getting up at 5 am to come to Afterburn is never easy, but seeing the results makes it easier. He loves how he feels the rest of the day after beginning his day with a workout at NPPT – more energy, good about himself, more energy for not only himself but for his young children.

HOW NPPT HAS HELPED WITH YOUR SUCCESS

NPPT has helped Matt create goals and workouts that help show instant results. The entire staff worked with Matt to achieve his fitness goals. NPPT’s helpfulness was a key in pushing Matt farther in each exercise. NPPT explained that in order for Matt to be successful in reaching his goal of a healthier lifestyle and improved self-image, he needed to change his diet. Matt chose to use portion control and to use moderation whenever indulging in any of his “vices”.

LONG-TERM GOALS

Matt wants to continue to lose weight and improve his overall well-being. He would like to complete a 10K in less than an hour.
