Mobility Drill: Standing External Rotation Hip Stretch

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is one of those feel-good stretches that will help loosen up tight hips. If you ever have any lower back pain, this is can be an area that can be stretched to give some immediate relief.

Instructions:

  1. Find a box that is around hip height
  2. Place one leg on the box at a 90 degree angle
  3. Make sure you back leg and hips are square to the box
  4. Bend back knee and squat down till you feel a stretch on the outside of the hip on the box
Sets/Reps: 2x 30 seconds each side
