The stability ball rollout is an awesome exercise that can strengthen your core at a much deeper level than a crunch or sit up can do. It is also a much safer exercise because your goal is to resist movement as opposed to a crunch or sit-up that puts you into spinal flexion.

Stability Ball Rollout Instructions:

  1. Start in a plank position on the stability ball
  2. Engage core, glutes and quads
  3. While everything is engaged extend your elbows out away from you (the further you go the harder it will be)
  4. Return to starting position

Stability Ball Rollout Cues:

  • Neutral spine
  • Shoulders down and back
  • Core engaged
  • Glutes engaged
